Builder of the “2007 New Southern Home”

The James M. Krantz Construction Corporation is proud to have
been selected to design and build the 2007 New Southern Home
in Orlando, Florida. The New Southern Home is a showcase home
featuring the design, luxury and technology which will set the
pace for the lifestyle of the South. The home will feature the
latest and most innovative products available in the
marketplace. The show home is being built for display during
the 29th annual Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) being
held at the Orange County Convention Center July 12-14, 2007.
The home will also be open to the public after the Conference
and during the International Builders’ Show.
The New Southern Home program is backed by the Florida Home
Builders Association and is vastly considered the premiere
show home in the Southeast with its roots dating back to 1988.
Like its predecessors, the 2007 New Southern Home promises to
carry on this grand tradition. This two-story 10,200 square
foot “Southern Cottage”, boasts the charm of an era gone by.
Although the history of the Shingle style house is founded in
the New England coastline, much of the inspiration for this
home came from the builder's roots in the Lower Peninsula area
of Michigan. This home has the open, flowing floor plan to
cater to the active Florida lifestyle, yet uncompromisingly
blends all the warmth and charm of a true summer retreat.
As you approach the rambling exterior with the classic
stonework and shingle siding, you are captivated by various
window designs, oversized columns, and more details than the
eye can see. Inside the home, the views are spectacular from
each room. Traffic flow and accessibility will not be a
problem with an elevator and three staircases. A true summer
kitchen is just off the main covered lanai, in a detached
cabana that is also oriented to service the pool.
The home features six bedrooms, seven full baths, four half
baths, a media room, a recreation room and a craft room.
Multiple garages include an interior workshop. The master
suite is located on the first floor, and multiple areas in the
home allow for relaxation, entertaining and family time. This
is the epitome of luxurious coastal living. |
